Sales Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day and assist his sales team in leading sales for achieving the sales objectives
- Supervise and manage the overall operations for sea & air export
- Keep and secure nomination and cargo bookings with maximum contribution to the company as stipulated from time to time.
- Visiting customer, maintain existing customer and bring in new customer/business
- Ensure the daily operations up-to-date and all inquiry answered within same day or within 24 hours
- Responsible for promoting services for providing quality customer service to clients
- Follow-up on routine order / nomination shipment from overseas branch offices or appointed agents
- Provide
management market data such as potential customer, its traffic matrix,
sector and competition to enable management to formulate effective sales
strategy.
- Solve all problems/difficulties in respect of customer satisfaction and perform quality sales/lifting
- Negotiate competitive freight rates & space allocation with liners and trucking operator
- Give directions and resolutions for all routine and non-routine business problems
- Build up a professional image and maintain a close and friendly business relationship with clients
- Recommend joint visits to target clients with team and Management
- Follow market development and report with respect to the concerned trade and services
- Interface and communications (e-mails/mails/calls) with customers, principals & agents
- Close
working coordination with operations (back office) team to determine
essential strategy approaches for services to customers and sales
achievement
- Develop his organization, coaching his/her team and team work
- Provide professional advice to GM if any issue arise
- Any other assignment as and when assigned by his direct superior
JOB SPECIFICATION
Minimum Level of Qualification :
Minimum
5 years working experience in shipping/forwarding industry, Bachelor
Degree / University graduated in Marketing, or equivalent, qualified
sales achievement
Professional Skills:
- English fluency
- Strong in reporting, analysis
- Has a broaden customer network coverage in any trade and services
- Awareness of worldwide economy and freight market
- Knowledge shipping / forwarding industry
